Keep Score

the next few set activites each have specific features and skills that we could use during the production/programming of our own individual games. This post will be about setting a scoreboard/score feature on your game.

If using the scratch program the script should look along the lines of something like this:

After your script has been created your sprites should move similar to the following set of pictures:









As this example uses a fish and shark, it has been set in a way so that whenever the shark touches the fish, the score will increase by one. In this case the score board will look like this, (the only difference is that the actual number will differ depending on how many times the shark has touched the fish):
